I Z
IZ means "foot print" in the Kazakh language. IZ is a five-piece band formed by Mamur, a Kazakh singer coming from Qitai, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. Mamur began playing dombra from childhood, then studied guitar, mandolin, piano and other instruments. The music of IZ has its roots in traditional Kazakh folk songs, but with a touch of the multicultural mix of the Silk Road.
