FAQ - Policy: Yue Festival, Shanghai & Beijing, Oct. 2007

Yue Festival - Zhongshan Park Shanghai - Policy FAQs

1. Can I bring food and drink into the park?

We’re happy for you to bring food into the park, but please do not bring any liquids at all.

2. So can I buy food and drink inside?

Yes. We have Bacardi cocktails, beer and soft drinks all available inside, as well as some pre-packaged food.

3. Once inside, can I leave and re-enter the park?

Yes, you will be able to come and go as you please throughout the day

4. Can I bring my camera/ videocamera with me?

Please bring your cameras to record the day! We would ask that you don’t bring professional equipment such as professional video, tripod or paparazzi-style zoom lens.

5. What if it rains?

The show goes on. We will provide ponchos (plastic rain parkas) to everyone if it rains, but we hope it doesn’t!

6. Can I bring all the family?

Yes, you can. Please remember, this is an outdoor music event with 5,000 people, so it may be unsuitable for small children, particularly later on. Alcohol will not be served to under 18's.

7. Can I get a fapiao (receipt)?

Yes, but please follow this procedure, otherwise we cannot guarantee a fapiao: take your ticket to the ‘Ticket comps’ ticket window and register your name and contact details. We will send you a fapiao by post within 7 days.

8. Where can I hear the music before I go?

Check our official festival website for information and links about the musicians, DJs and groups performing at our festival. http://www.yuefestival.com/

9. Why is it the same price in Beijing for one concert as the all-day festival in Shanghai?

We appreciate this is difficult to bear. The cost of the Shanghai festival is spread across many more festival-goers, and since it is our policy to keep ticket prices as low as possible, we felt we could keep the festival ticket price down to 360RMB on the day. Please buy in advance to get the best price!

10. Is there a group discount on tickets?

Unfortunately not. It is our policy to make great live music available to as many people as possible, so we keep prices down wherever possible. That is why we offer a discounted advance ticket price at over 20% off, so please take the opportunity to buy early if the price concerns you. We do not discount the experience however, so bring your friends and enjoy a great show!

11. What can I bring / not bring into the park?

NO weapons, liquids, drinks, pets, or mean people allowed.

Do bring sunscreen, small cameras, your friends, and please don't leave any litter in the park.

12. Will there be storage for valuables?

No, please take care of your own valuables. We are not responsible for broken, lost or stolen items. Please do not leave bags unattended.

13. Behaviour / Environmental

We appreciate that the city has provided Zhongshan Park for our music festival. We ask you to please respect the environment of the park and its surroundings. Be kind to the plants, animals, and the people.

3. Why are the prices different for the 2nd and 3rd?

We spread the costs across 2 nights but try to reflect the stature and cost of specific bands for their night. Faithless, in particular, has not played a venue of this [small] size for years, this really is a special treat.

4. Is there a 2-night ticket?

Sorry no. We felt the different types of music would attract a different crowd. Also, there wouldn’t have been a further discount – we promise the prices are as low as we can possibly make them.
